OceanFirst Bank Offers Touch ID for Mobile Banking

Cloud-based technology powered by Digital Insight provides OceanFirst Bank customers faster and secure access to bank accounts

DULUTH, Ga., June 23, 2015 – OceanFirst Bank, the largest and oldest community bank headquartered in Ocean County, N.J., is working with Digital Insight, an NCR company, to offer OceanFirst Bank customers Touch ID functionality with its mobile banking application. Using built-in fingerprint sensor technology, Touch ID allows OceanFirst Bank customers to log in to their mobile banking application without entering traditional login credentials.

“We believe OceanFirst Bank customers appreciate having a variety of choices for ways to meet their banking needs and we are pleased to provide the Touch ID option to our mobile banking clients for fast and secure access to their accounts,” said Joseph R. Iantosca, OceanFirst Bank Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer.

Touch ID gives customers the convenience to access their finances in a more simple and secure way. OceanFirst Bank is now offering customers the ability to:

  • Log in to their mobile banking with the same level of access as if they had entered a valid username and password
  • Seamlessly store their fingerprints on their mobile devices
  • Safeguard sensitive financial information as fingerprints are encrypted with a key that is only accessible to the device

“OceanFirst Bank has a long commitment of putting the needs of customers first,” said Jeff Hughes, general manager of Digital Insight and CTO of NCR Financial Services. “Integrating Touch ID with their Digital Insight-powered mobile banking app allows OceanFirst Bank to provide their customers with an easy-to-use and more secure way to access mobile banking.”

Touch ID is accessed through OceanFirst Bank’s mobile banking app available for download through the App Store.
