In today's world, activities like Cash withdrawals, Purchases, Utility payments, Cash transfers etc., are frequently conducted by Customers at unattended devices / terminals that are spread across regions and easy to use. This is more so in the Banking and Utilities sector where the focus is on providing 24 x 7 availability for better Customer Service.
Therefore there is a need to monitor the various networks and related applications continuously, enabling the service provider to detect problems immediately and take proactivecorrective action to minimize downtimes.
This requires a system that is capable of collecting and displaying all events / information of the complete solution on an online and continuous basis. The system should also have the capability to provide a mechanism, through which corrective actions may be taken when the need arises.
NARADA™ Control and Monitoring (NARADA™ CAM) System is a tool developed to facilitate the monitoring of systems & networks, which issues instructions for control of the NARADA™SWITCH application

NARADA™ CAM System provides complete information on:
- The NARADA™ CAM System provides the User with the facility to drill down on a NARADA™ SWITCH application process and view corresponding details
- Status and health of the NARADA™ SWITCH Sys application processes
- Usage of Mail Box memory by theNARADA™ SWITCHapplication
- Status of the NARADA™SWITCH Application Database.
- NARADA™ SWITCH Machine performance details
- Status and health of the ATMs / Devices / Networks interfacing with the NARADA™ SWITCH system.
- Status and performance of the HOST Systems interfacing with the NARADA™ SWITCH system
- The System provides the User with the facility to s view the demographics and the health of external interfaces
- NARADA™ CAM System has the facility to manage (Start/Shut down) NARADA™ SWITCH System from the Client machine by issuing instructions to the Server machine
- NARADA™ CAM System provides information on NARADA™ SWITCH Machine performance details like CPU Usage, Memory Usage, SPOOL Space used, Average Load on the Machine, total number of processes/defunct process running on the Machine
NARADA™ CAM has the facility to receive/issue instructions to execute an activity and take appropriate action. It displays the status of various systems / activities on a continuous basis, with the frequency of refresh being pre-defined or event driven.
The System facilitates monitoring and controlling various events and activities of:
- The functioning of the NARADA™ SWITCH System
- The Hardware on which the NARADA™ SWITCHsystem operates
- TheATMs/ Devices connected to the NARADA™ SWITCHsystem
- The AUTHORIZATION HOST SYSTEM at each of the Branches connected to the NARADA™ SWITCHsystem
- The functioning of the NARADA™ CAM System
The most unique feature of NARADA™ CAM, is that it gives a real-time picture of the functioning of the network, and allows for a quick response to any problem.
- The NARADA™ CAM system has been designed based on the Client ServerTechnology
- The System acts as a Client which is used for monitoring the systems and for issuing instructions to control activities
- The NARADA™ CAM Client accesses a central Server where information is collected and instructions are executed
- Design provides for having multiple NARADA™ CAM clients either installed on the Local Area Network(LAN) or Wide Area Network(WAN)
- Designed to be completely configurable and parameterized
- Ensures complete operational security
- Supports a GUI interface
- Information is grouped into logical units and displayed for quick and easy access
- Client machine should have the minimum configuration of: Windows 98/NT operating system, 64MB RAM, 25 MB hard disk space (including JRE), 800 X 600 resolution @ 24 or 16 bit true color for installing the software
- The communication protocol between NARADA™ CAM Client and the server is TCP/IP.
- The NARADA™CAM Client communicates with the Server using message level data packets
- The design of NARADA™ CAM provides for remote access on theWAN NARADA™
- Being Client Server architecture, the system can support installation of multiple NARADA™ CAM clients accessing the same server
